Louisiana Town to Hold Groundbreaking Ceremony for Water Project in March
The Town of St. Joseph will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on March 6 for the construction of the “Comprehensive Water Distribution System Replacement Project.”
The project includes the installation of approximately 64,000 linear feet of new water lines and approximately 525 new water meters. This phase of the town’s overall water system improvements program is being funded entirely through the State of Louisiana Capital Outlay program.
The cost of construction is $3,399,510.00. The consulting engineer is H. Davis Cole & Associates, LLC, and the contractor is Womack & Sons Construction Group, Inc. The project construction manager is Bryant Hammett & Associates, LLC.
The project is the first phase in an overall water system improvement program that will ultimately replace the town’s water distribution system, repair the town’s water treatment facility, and install new water supply wells. The overall program cost is approximately $6,200,000.00.
