Nearly $11 Million Awarded for Texas Sewer, Water Projects

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved more than $10 million in financial assistance for the following water and wastewater system projects:
- $700,000 to the Holiday Beach Water Supply Corporation for a Hurricane Harvey disaster recovery project, which includes replacing sections of pipeline damaged during the company’s recovery and clean-up effort.
- $1.73 million to the city of Ranger for water system improvements, which include replacing portions of pipeline to help address water loss.
- $5 million to the Cypress Creek Utility District for water and wastewater system improvements, which include water pipeline replacement, and the planning, design, and construction costs associated with improving the district’s wastewater system pipeline.
- $3.11 million to the city of Ladonia for water system improvements, which include replacing approximately 3.5 miles of pipeline.
- $200,000 to the Lake Texoma VFW Post 7873 for water system improvements, which include interconnecting its water system to the neighboring Ridgecrest water system and enhancing distribution line sizes to accommodate the interconnection.
The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
