$15 Million Awarded for Texas Sewer, Water Projects

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) has awarded more than $15 million from the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds for water and wastewater pipeline projects across the state. The projects receiving funding include:
- $10.77 million to the city of Elmendorf. The city will use the assistance to construct a new water supply system.
- $2.42 million to the North Fort Bend Water Authority. The authority will use the assistance to install 38,000 linear feet of pipeline as part of upgrades to the reclaimed water systems of Fort Bend County Municipal Utility Districts Nos. 146 and 194.
- $1.24 million to the the Greater Texoma Utility Authority. The authority will use the assistance to install approximately 12,860 linear feet of pipeline to serve residents and businesses in the city of Paradise not connected to a city water supply.
- $990,000 to the city of Alba. The city will use the assistance to replace 4,000 linear feet of wastewater pipeline.
The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
