$23 Million Awarded for Water Projects in Texas

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) has approved financial assistance in excess of $23 million from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund for the following pipeline construction projects:
- $22 million from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to the Johnson County Special Utility District. The district will use part of the assistance to install approximately 25 miles of water pipeline.
- $1.23 million from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to the city of Eastland. The city will use the assistance to replace approximately 8,900 linear feet of pipeline to help address water loss.
The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
