ACWA Spring Conference to Highlight Improving California’s Water Supply
Leaders, experts and elected officials from throughout California’s water community will gather in Sacramento May 8-11 for the Association of California Water Agencies’ (ACWA) 2018 Spring Conference & Exhibition.
Themed “CA Water: Building for the Future,” the first of two biannual ACWA conferences will feature keynote speeches by California Department of Water Resources Director Karla Nemeth and Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) Board Chairman Randy Record. Record will discuss MWD’s recent board vote to fund most of California WaterFix, the Brown administration proposed plan to address Bay-Delta conveyance with underground tunnels.
The conference will also feature forums highlighting numerous issues currently impacting California’s water supply, ranging from environmental and regulatory developments to insights on technology, water storage and conservation measures.
