Texas Water Development Board approves over $3 billion for statewide water, wastewater projects
(UI) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) approved financial assistance totaling $3,031,935,000 for water and wastewater projects through the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT) program and Clean Water State Revolving Fund.

Highlights:
$16,000,000 to the Bistone Municipal Water Supply District (Limestone County) for a water supply project.
$200,000,000 to the Palo Pinto County Municipal Water District No. 1 (Palo Pinto and Parker counties) for a water supply project.
$195,845,000 to the City of Denton (Denton County) for a water supply project.
$125,000,000 to the City of Fort Worth (Tarrant County) for a water supply project.
$90,500,000 to the City of Greenville (Hunt County) for a water supply project.
$11,350,000 to the City of Marshall (Harrison County) for a wastewater system improvement project.
$320,845,000 to the Upper Trinity Regional Water District (Fannin, Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Grayson, Hunt, and Wise counties) for a water supply project.
$162,000,000 to the Upper Trinity Regional Water District (Denton and Collin counties) for a water supply project,
$747,500,000 to the Brazosport Water Supply Corporation (Brazoria County) for a reservoir expansion project
$320,000,000 to the Coastal Water Authority (Harris County) for a water supply project.
$138,000,000 to the Alliance Regional Water Authority (Hays, Caldwell, Guadalupe, Comal, Bexar counties) for a water system improvement project.
$25,000,000 to the City of Austin (Travis County) for a water system improvement project.
$22,160,000 to the City of Austin (Travis County) for a wastewater system improvement project.
$24,920,000 to the Canyon Regional Water Authority (Atascosa, Bexar, Caldwell, Comal, Guadalupe, Hays, and Wilson counties) for a water system improvement project.
$87,705,000 to the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority (Guadalupe, Comal, Hays, Caldwell counties) for a water supply project.
$535,110,000 to the City of Corpus Christi (Nueces County) for a seawater desalination plant.
$10,000,000 to the Laguna Madre Water District (Cameron County) for a seawater desalination plant.
The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional water and flood planning, and preparing the state water and flood plans.
