$256 million for water infrastructure projects announced by New York Governor

(UI) - New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced $256 million in funding to be focused on critical improvement projects for water and sewer infrastructure projects across the state, according to a press release on the New York government website. In the announcement, Governor Hochul emphasized the criticality of such infrastructure, as did other New York government officials.
$30 million of the total approved amount has been set aside for inventory of lead services lines in drinking water systems, to determine possible replacement projects in addition to those existing projects announced in the release.
