Vortex launches water division to tackle aging infrastructure
(UI) – Vortex Companies has launched Vortex Water, a new division focused on water infrastructure rehabilitation. The move expands the company's trenchless solutions beyond sewer and industrial systems to address aging water pipelines with advanced materials, liners, and trenchless technologies.
Cedric Bergeron, a 20-year industry veteran, has been appointed senior vice president of Vortex Water. Bergeron specializes in Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) watermain lining, trenchless installation, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
“As we celebrate our 10-year anniversary, this marks the next chapter for Vortex,” said Mike Vellano, CEO of Vortex Companies. “We reshaped the sewer rehabilitation industry, and now we’re bringing that same intensity, speed, and innovation to water. Cedric’s leadership and technical expertise will help scale water renewal solutions faster than ever.”
Aging water infrastructure is a growing crisis, with a water main break occurring roughly every two minutes in the U.S. “The industry needs a trusted, high-performance partner to drive real change,” Bergeron said. “Vortex has always pushed boundaries in sewer rehabilitation, and we’re bringing that same approach to water.”
By leveraging trenchless technologies and technical expertise, Vortex Water aims to provide sustainable solutions that extend the life of critical water systems.
