Willbros UTD Segment Announces Contracts Worth $105 Million

Willbros Group, Inc.’s Utility Transmission & Distribution segment has been awarded two new contracts worth an estimated value of $105 million.
The first is the formalization of a discrete contract for the construction of an underground transmission duct bank. Construction by Willbros’ Utility Transmission & Distribution East business unit has commenced in the fourth quarter of 2016 and is anticipated to be completed during the second quarter of 2017.
The second is to convert overhead lines to underground and will be performed by Willbros’ Utility Transmission & Distribution East business unit under an MSA agreement over a three year period.
