Houston Gets Nearly $65 Million to Replace Collection System Pipelines

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) has awarded $64.68 million in financial assistance to the city of Houston to finance wastewater system improvements.
The funding, which is courtesy of the state’s Clean Water State Revolving Fund, will enable the city to replace collection system pipelines while saving approximately $16.5 million over the life of the loan.
The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
