UTSA researches how horizontal directional drilling is evolving in utility construction industry

(UI) – The University of Texas at San Antonio is conducting a research project focused on the evolving use and adoption of horizontal directional drilling (HDD) in the utility construction industry.
The purpose of this study is to generate critical insights into the factors that affect the adoption of HDD in the utility construction industry. The study is intended to evaluate the factors, including barriers and drivers, influencing the successful implementation of HDD and autonomous directional drilling for underground utility installations. The survey is expected to take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
