Verdantas expands Northern California water services with MHM acquisition
(UI) — Verdantas, a technical consulting firm specializing in environmental, water, and energy solutions, has acquired Marysville-based M-H-M, Inc. (MHM) to bolster its presence in Northern California's water market.
The acquisition, supported by Sterling Investment Partners, strengthens Verdantas’ capabilities in water supply, flood control, irrigation, and land development services.
MHM has established strong relationships with municipalities, public agencies, and private clients, bringing expertise in water resource management, storm drainage, and land surveying. This integration expands Verdantas’ service portfolio and enhances its ability to tackle water challenges in the region.
"Integrating MHM into Verdantas will continue our growth strategy by diversifying our business on the West Coast and expanding our capabilities in the water market," said Jesse Kropelnicki, CEO of Verdantas. "We look forward to providing new opportunities for their team while enhancing our ability to serve clients in Northern California."
Sean Minard, President of MHM, emphasized how the partnership addresses California’s unique engineering challenges. "By joining Verdantas, we gain access to in-house expertise in geotechnical, geological, and structural engineering, enabling us to deliver more comprehensive solutions to our clients," he said.
James Soldano, Partner at Sterling Investment Partners, highlighted the strategic importance of the acquisition. "This move reflects our commitment to growing Verdantas' presence in the western United States while addressing critical water challenges in the region," he said.
The acquisition aligns with Verdantas’ focus on sustainability by enhancing its ability to address water quality, conservation, and resource management, ultimately benefiting communities and ecosystems in Northern California.
