NWPX grows water infrastructure portfolio with Colorado precast facility
NWPX Infrastructure has acquired Colorado-based Boughton’s Precast, expanding its manufacturing capacity for precast concrete and reinforced concrete pipe used in stormwater and sanitary sewer infrastructure projects across the Mountain States.
The Pueblo, Colorado, facility produces a range of underground infrastructure products, including reinforced concrete pipe, manholes, catch basins and grease traps for municipal and utility construction. The operation will be integrated into NWPX’s precast division and operate under the NWPX Precast name.
Company officials said the acquisition strengthens NWPX’s regional presence and improves its ability to serve growing demand for water, wastewater and drainage infrastructure products in the western United States. The added manufacturing footprint is expected to enhance supply chain efficiency and support contractors working on municipal and utility projects requiring precast concrete systems.
The purchase marks NWPX Infrastructure’s third acquisition in just over six years as the company continues expanding its portfolio of water-related infrastructure manufacturing assets. Previous acquisitions included Geneva Pipe and Precast in 2020 and ParkUSA in 2021, both aimed at broadening capabilities in precast and water infrastructure product markets.
