IP Corp

Alex Wallenfelsz, executive vice president of IP Corporation, is pleased to announce that Kevin Casey has joined the company as vice president of sales. Casey will be responsible for leading the commercial team for all IP Corporation’s manufacturing companies, including Interplastic, HK Research, and Molding Products.

Wallenfelsz commented, “Kevin brings a wealth of knowledge in the composites industry, having held leadership positions at Premix, Sika, Mar-Bal, EMS-EFTEC and most recently, Jaeger-Unitek Sealing Solutions. His extensive experience in leading sales teams and expanding new technologies will create a focused “One-Team” customer philosophy as we accelerate the launch of our integrated Interplastic and HK Research team”.

According to Casey, “IP Corporation and HK Research have pioneered, industry leading polyester resins, vinyl ester resins, gel coats, molding and bonding compounds, putties and colorants. The integration of HK Research, combined with IP Corporation’s full range of products, provides our customers with innovative, customer-specific technologies. Victaulic

Gary Moore, executive vice president and chief revenue officer, of Victaulic, is retiring at the end of April after 37 years of distinguished service with the company. Mark Gilbert, currently vice president and general manager for Europe, Middle East, and Africa, as well as vice president in the U.S., succeeds Moore as executive vice president of Sales.

Moore began his career with Victaulic in 1988 as a sales representative in Canada. Through his exceptional performance and leadership, he advanced through various roles, including vice president of sales, vice president & general manager, and president of Victaulic Company of Canada, Limited.

Moore then joined the executive leadership team at World Headquarters in Easton, Penn, to lead the global sales organization. He was named executive vice president and chief revenue officer in 2023. Throughout his tenure, Moore has been instrumental in driving revenue growth and product innovation. He has also been an active leader within the construction industry.

Gilbert brings over 30 years of Victaulic experience to his new role. After graduating from Purdue University, he joined Victaulic as a sales representative in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. area. His career has included positions as regional manager, West Coast Division manager, director for the Middle East Region in Dubai, and vice president of Europe, Middle East, Africa and India in Belgium, and, adding for the last two years, vice president in the U.S. 


NUCA

The National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA) announced that its CEO Doug Carlson has submitted his resignation to the Board of Directors.

NUCA stated that “thanks to NUCA’s forward-thinking strategic planning and succession management, our Executive Committee is well-prepared to navigate this transition with confidence and enthusiasm, engaging a top-tier executive search firm to support our leadership in identifying the perfect candidate to carry our mission forward.”

NUCA is also announcing the appointment of Chris Barrett as the interim CEO. With proven leadership and deep understanding of the organization, she is poised to guide NUCA forward during this interim period, ensuring uninterrupted momentum as the association seeks a permanent CEO. NUCA anticipates welcoming a new CEO as early as this fall, building on the organizational foundation laid by Carlson over the last five years.

Currently serving as NUCA’s chief operating officer since June 2016, Barrett brings a wealth of expertise to her interim role. As a key member of the executive leadership team, she has championed operational excellence, collaborating seamlessly with staff, members, Chapter leaders and industry experts to drive meaningful outcomes for NUCA and America’s utility construction industry.


Yanmar

Anna Christine Sgro was appointed president of Yanmar Compact Equipment's North American region. In her new role, Sgro will focus on enhancing organizational integration, improving financial performance and driving customer success through innovative product and service development. Together with her team, she aims to establish Yanmar CE as a leader in the compact equipment industry in North America.

Sgro brings a wealth of relevant construction and industrial experience, spanning general and product management, aftermarket support, digital transformation and strategy. In her most recent role, she served as president of Reesink Canada Holdings, where she led strategic growth initiatives in the agriculture, construction and complementary equipment sectors.

Her earlier career included senior executive roles at prominent global organizations such as Volvo Financial Services, Volvo Construction Equipment, Strongco Equipment and Ritchie Bros, as well as leading the Global Caterpillar Alliance.

Sgro holds a degree in economics with a minor in political science from York University, Toronto, Canada, and post-graduate studies at Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management, in the U.S.

Sgro joins Yanmar CE’s global leadership team, reporting to José Cuadrado, the company's Global CEO.


Caterpillar

After eight years as CEO and nearly 45 years of service, Caterpillar Inc. chairman and CEO D. James Umpleby III became executive chairman of the Board effective May 1. Chief Operating Officer (COO) Joseph E. Creed, a 28-year Caterpillar veteran, succeeded him as CEO and joined the Board of Directors.



After assuming the role of CEO on Jan. 1, 2017, Umpleby led the development and execution of a new strategy for long-term profitable growth, creating significant shareholder value. In 2024, Caterpillar achieved record, full year adjusted profit per share, which increased more than sixfold during Umpleby’s tenure as CEO.

Creed joined Caterpillar in 1997 and has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility across multiple divisions. He was promoted to chief financial officer for Caterpillar’s Energy & Transportation business segment in 2013, then to vice president of Caterpillar’s Finance Services Division in 2017, and served as interim chief financial officer for Caterpillar in 2018.

He then became vice president of the Oil & Gas and Marine Division and the Electric Power Division. In 2021, he was promoted to group president of Energy & Transportation. Effective Nov. 1, 2023, Creed was appointed to the newly created position of chief operating officer.

With 2024 sales and revenues of $64.8 billion, Caterpillar Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.
