FERC Nominees Advanced by Senate Committee
The Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources today advanced two of President Trump’s nominees to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission: Richard Glick, a Democratic attorney and Kevin McIntyre, FERC’s chairman-in-waiting. Glick and McIntyre will now receive a vote before the entire Senate.
“We continue to move expeditiously on these nominees so that FERC no longer has a mere quorum, but instead a full complement of five commissioners,” Murkowski, chairman of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, said.
Glick currently serves as General Counsel for the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. Before joining the Committee staff in February 2016, he served as Vice President, Government Affairs for Iberdrola’s renewable energy, electric and gas utility, and natural gas storage businesses in the United States.
McIntyre currently serves as co-head of global energy at Jones Day. Throughout his career, he has represented energy suppliers in the following industries: natural gas, oil, hydropower and wind power.
President Trump originally announced his intention to nominate Glick on June 28, 2017 and McIntyre on July 13, 2017.
