Lumos to build over 1,300 miles of fiber optic network in Kentucky with $150 million investment
(UI) – Lumos announced its expansion into the state of Kentucky with a nearly $150 million investment to build over 1,300 miles of its network in parts of Jefferson County and Louisville.
As its first expansion in the state, Lumos will provide opportunities for families and businesses to access fiber internet through scalable plans and options to meet their exact needs, with life-changing speeds and reliable service.
“Reliable high-speed internet access is essential to building a community where everyone can succeed,” said Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg. “We welcome and appreciate Lumos’ important investment into our city and look forward to working with them as they create a more connected Louisville.”
Through Lumos’ 100% Fiber-Optic Internet, the following communities in Louisville and Jefferson County will have access to the internet with equally fast upload and download speeds: Jeffersontown, Saint Matthews, Shively, Lyndon, Middletown, Douglas Hills, Hurstbourne, Prospect, Graymoor-Devondale, Anchorage and other areas in the Louisville Metro.
