Syntrio acquires 250-mile Texas fiber network

VERNON, Texas (UI) — Syntrio Solutions has acquired fiber-optic infrastructure assets from Tri-County Electric Cooperative, expanding its broadband network footprint across North Texas.

The deal includes an approximately 250-mile fiber network that now extends Syntrio’s coverage across all or portions of Archer, Baylor, Hood, Jack, Palo Pinto, Parker, Tarrant, Wise and Young counties.

Company officials said the acquisition will improve network redundancy and create additional connectivity routes intended to strengthen service reliability and support future fiber deployment efforts.

The acquired infrastructure was originally developed by Tri-County Electric Cooperative and will now be integrated into Syntrio’s existing fiber network operations.

Jason Tole said the acquisition supports the company’s plans for continued broadband expansion throughout the region.

“The transaction marks an important milestone for Syntrio and supports our mission to be a leading regional broadband provider,” Tole said.

Syntrio said the expanded infrastructure will support additional high-speed internet deployments and technology services in underserved and growing communities across North Texas.

The company plans to begin integrating the newly acquired fiber assets into its broader network platform as deployment and expansion work continues.
