Vermeer launches deeper-cutting MTR726 microtrencher for fiber installation
(UI) - Vermeer has introduced the MTR726 microtrencher attachment, expanding its microtrenching lineup with a deeper-cutting solution designed for fiber installation and underground utility projects.
The attachment is capable of cutting trenches up to 27 inches deep and 3 inches wide, offering contractors an option for projects requiring greater depth of cover. The MTR726 is designed for use with the Vermeer RTX750 ride-on tractor and joins the company’s existing microtrenching, core saw and concrete reinstatement attachments.
According to Vermeer, the attachment includes a fully shrouded cutting wheel designed to help contain debris and improve vacuum suction during operation. Additional features include welded polycrystalline diamond cutter teeth, single-lever depth control and right-offset cutting capability for curbside trenching applications.
The company said the MTR726 is intended to support contractors working on deeper broadband and utility installations while maintaining serviceability features aimed at reducing downtime in the field.
