San Diego sewer upgrade nears completion, potholing to confirm underground utilities
9/12/2024
(UI) — Construction work on the AC Water and Sewer Group 1048 project is nearing completion on Governor Drive, with crews finishing the installation of sewer mains and laterals.
The next phase of the project is set to begin on Edmonton Ave., Combe Way, and Stettler Way, near Curie Elementary School, starting June 7.
The upcoming work will replace sewer mains and laterals on the three streets. Before heavy construction begins, a drone will be used to document existing conditions of the streets, sidewalks, and nearby private properties.
Crews will also conduct potholing to verify the locations of underground pipes and utility lines. This phase of the project is expected to wrap up before the start of the 2024-25 school year.
