Tutor Perini subsidiary awarded $69.5-million Death Valley utility project
(UI) — Tutor Perini Corp. subsidiary Perini Management Services has been awarded a $69.5 million contract by the National Park Service to rehabilitate water and wastewater infrastructure at Death Valley National Park in California.
The project includes replacement and rehabilitation of water mains, sewer gravity and force mains, service laterals, pump stations and potable water wells, along with upgrades to reverse osmosis treatment facilities, chlorination systems and wastewater treatment infrastructure in the Furnace Creek and Cow Creek areas.
Construction is expected to begin this fall and reach substantial completion in early 2029. According to Tutor Perini, the improvements will enhance the reliability, resilience and capacity of utility systems serving park visitors, residents, employees and the Timbisha Shoshone Tribe while reducing deferred maintenance. The contract will be added to the company's third-quarter 2026 backlog.
