The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Portland District has selected Tetra Tech for a position on a five-year multiple-award contract with a shared capacity of $49 million to provide architectural and engineering design services for navigation and water control infrastructure projects.
Under the contract, Tetra Tech will support planning, design and advanced modeling work for a range of civil works assets, including dams, levees, locks and flood risk management systems. The work will focus on improving infrastructure resilience, safety and operational performance across USACE projects in the Portland District and potentially other assigned locations.
Scope of services includes dam safety engineering, flood control and risk management planning, inland and coastal navigation improvements, and fish passage design. The company will also provide technical support and modeling to help optimize performance and extend the life of critical water resources infrastructure.
USACE regularly uses multiple-award A-E contracts to support maintenance and modernization of aging civil works systems, many of which face increasing stress from extreme weather, population growth and evolving regulatory requirements. The latest contract supports ongoing federal investment in flood protection, navigation reliability and water infrastructure resilience across the Pacific Northwest.
Tetra Tech said it has supported USACE civil works and water infrastructure projects for more than four decades and will continue providing engineering and technical services under the new agreement as task orders are issued.
