GES acquires Environmental Controls to expand water, wastewater infrastructure solutions

Global Environmental Solutions (GES) has completed the acquisition of Environmental Controls Company (ECC), expanding its presence in the water and wastewater infrastructure market with modular floating cover technologies used in municipal and industrial applications.

ECC manufactures floating cover systems designed for stormwater basins, reservoirs, water and wastewater treatment facilities, mining operations and industrial storage sites. The systems are commonly used for evaporation control, odor mitigation, water quality protection and wildlife management in open-water infrastructure settings.

GES said the acquisition broadens its environmental solutions platform and strengthens its national footprint in water-related infrastructure markets. The company plans to continue supporting existing ECC customers while integrating manufacturing, logistics and technical operations into its broader organization.

Following the transaction, GES will market its expanded water infrastructure product line under the EnviroBalls brand, with applications across municipal stormwater systems, treatment plants and industrial water storage. Company officials said additional investments are planned to expand domestic manufacturing capacity as demand for water infrastructure and environmental control solutions continues to grow.
