Rehab tech spotlight: Lining systems

Danby

Danby PVC Lining is a rigid, 100-percent PVC, grout-in-place structural liner engineered to protect wastewater infrastructure from H₂S-induced corrosion while extending service life by 50+ years. The liner provides a smooth interior surface with a low Manning’s n value, improving hydraulic capacity with minimal reduction in cross-sectional area.

The system is designed for structural rehabilitation of 36-inch and larger pipelines and structures, including circular, arch, elliptical, and box shapes. Installed using a trenchless, spiral wound or flat panel method, Danby eliminates the need for proprietary machine-wound equipment, making it well-suited for large-diameter applications and constrained access conditions. The annular space is pressure grouted to create a fully structural, stand-alone liner.

Danby is also used in precast and cast-in-place structures – including manholes and lift stations – to provide long-term corrosion protection from day one.

Flow-Liner

Flow-Liner Systems’ CIP-Conduit technology offers a trenchless, non-invasive solution for rehabilitating aging electrical and telecommunications conduits without the need for excavation.

Designed to restore existing infrastructure from the inside, the system seal cracks, rehabilitates deteriorated conduits – including Orangeburg, bitumen, Korduct and Transite – and helps prevent water infiltration that can lead to costly failures and downtime. CIP-Conduit creates a smooth interior surface so wires can be pulled through without damage.

By extending the service life of underground conduit networks, CIP-Conduit provides a practical alternative to traditional dig-and-replace methods, particularly in sensitive or space-constrained environments such as data centers and critical facilities. The process minimizes disruption to operations while delivering a durable, structurally enhanced conduit system that supports long-term reliability.

Griffolyn Pre-Liners

Griffolyn reinforced laminate tubing offers excellent service as pre-lining during cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) operations for water and sewer pipe rehabilitation.

Formulated and constructed for high strength and performance, Griffolyn pre-liners provide outstanding tear, puncture and abrasion resistance. Pre-liners are available in a wide range of diameters and lengths to meet your specific project requirements. Our reinforced laminate tubing provides cost-effective solutions for water, sewer, utility re-lining.

This durable polyethylene-based tubular film pre-liner prevents the buckling of liners in pipes with larger damaged area. During the rehab process, the pre-liner is pulled in or inverted between pipe wall and liner. This prevents the washing out of resin in the presence of groundwater or water penetration. All pre-liners are custom made to order.

HammerHead

The Bluelight LED CIPP lining system for laterals and small drainpipes is the most advanced light-curing system available.

Innovative technology empowers CIPP lining pros by alleviating the time pressures of other CIPP systems. The specially formulated resin only cures under light in the “blue” wavelength, giving installers a significantly longer working time between liner wet-out and curing.

Once installed, the automated curing system pulls the LED light head through the liner, curing the resin almost instantly – up to five times faster than other methods. Instead of waiting hours for the liner to cure, a 50-foot sewer line could be fully cured in under 12 minutes. With 500 systems in the field and millions of feet installed worldwide, the Bluelight LED lining system is a proven solution for lateral rehab.

SEKISUI SPR

SEKISUI SPR Americas specializes in spiral-wound lining technology, a no-dig solution for trenchless pipeline rehabilitation. Our systems – SPR EX, SPR TF, and SPR – restore gravity pipelines ranging from six inches to over 200 inches in diameter, offering fully structural solutions without excavation. Each method uses a mechanically wound PVC profile to form a tight-fitting liner inside the host pipe, reducing environmental impact and minimizing service disruptions.

SPR EX is a groutless solution for small-diameter pipes, while SPR TF and SPR are ideal for large-diameter pipelines, accommodating various shapes and conditions. Designed for municipal sewers, storm drains, culverts and industrial applications, our trenchless technologies provide a cost-effective, long-lasting alternative to traditional replacement.

With live-flow installation capabilities, SEKISUI SPR ensures efficient, sustainable, and resilient infrastructure renewal.
