South Dakota Town Receives $1.6 Million for Relining Project

The South Dakota Board of Water and Natural Resources has approved a $1.606 million funding package for the City of Lake Norden to reline its wastewater collection system.
The funding package includes a $321,000 Consolidated Water Facilities Construction Program grant and a $1.285 million Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan.
The project involves relining 8,450 feet of sanitary sewer collection pipe and 188 manholes to rehabilitate areas within the city’s collection system that have been identified to have severe or moderate deficiencies. The city will also clean and televise an additional 8,900 feet of the system to determine if additional rehabilitation is necessary.
