Axalta Unveils Latest Addition to Internal Pipe Coatings Portfolio

Axalta Coating Systems has released the Nap-Gard 7-0015 Tan Internal FBE, a thermosetting epoxy powder designed to pass Saudi Aramco’s 09-SAMSS-091 (2011) specification that delivers high adhesion properties to effectively protect pipelines subject to H2S, CO2 and CH4 exposure.
“Axalta is excited to bring an additional product to its internal pipe coatings line,” said Meghan Hodge, Axalta Global Product Marketing Manager, Functional Coatings. “Nap-Gard 7-0015 will be a good option for customers who need a flexible coating that provides corrosion protection in severe downhole environments up to 105°C (221°F).”
Axalta’s Nap-Gard powder coatings are formulated for use on external and internal oil, gas and water pipelines with single, dual and multi-layer application options. Nap-Gard also provides corrosion protection solutions for valves, fittings and rebar. Axalta’s functional coatings offer innovative solutions for epoxy-based coating applications and are designed to provide superior corrosion protection for substrates in harsh, demanding environments.
