Ohio Town Awarded Funding to Build Emergency Water Line
11/17/2017
The city of Campbell has received a $454,000 low-interest loan from the Ohio EPA to establish an emergency drinking water connection with Youngstown.
The project will build a water transmission line connecting to Youngstown to provide redundancy within the water distribution system. This will ensure reliable potable water service in case of a significant water main break or harmful algal bloom incident.
Created in 1998, the Water Supply Revolving Loan Account (WSRLA) provides below-market interest rate loans for compliance-related improvements for community water systems and nonprofit, non-community public water systems.
More information about the WSRLA is available at: epa.ohio.gov/defa/EnvironmentalandFinancialAssistance.aspx.
