Hitachi expands its wheel loader line
Hitachi Construction Machinery America Inc. (HCMA) continues to expand its ZW-6-wheel loaders in North America, with the upgrade of its popular compact model, ZW100-6.
Developed for a wide variety of applications – including heavy construction; excavation work; and water, sewer and pipeline construction – the small, yet powerful ZW100-6 has operating weight of 17,042 pounds (7,730 kg) and bucket capacity of 1.4 cubic yards (1.1 m³).
At the heart of the ZW-6 lineup, Hitachi’s technology-led approach impacts everything, from environmental performance to operator comfort and safety, and cost of ownership.
A 101- horsepower (74-kW) Tier 4 Final certified engine that does not require a diesel particulate filter (DPF) system reduces fuel consumption and maintenance costs. A spacious cab with 360-degree visibility, ride control and onboard technology increases productivity with quick and efficient cycle times.
Heavy-duty axles and a reinforced front frame improve ZW100-6’s durability. An optional belly guard protects the machine powertrain and driveshaft from potential damage caused by materials on the ground.
