Dr. Vahid Zarezadeh joins LAN’s stormwater division as project manager
(UI) — Vahid Zarezadeh, PhD, PE, CFM, has joined engineering and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews and Newnam Inc. (LAN) as a project manager for the stormwater practice, the company announced on Jan. 17. Based in the San Antonio office, Dr. Zarezadeh will serve as the technical manager in drainage concepts and principles.
Dr. Zarezadeh, who has 11 years of industry experience, received his Ph. D in civil engineering with a focus in water resources from the University of Texas at San Antonio. A Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM), and professional engineer, Dr. Zarezadeh joins LAN with wide-ranging knowledge in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, drainage and stormwater design management. He will lead stormwater projects and pursuits.
“Vahid’s extensive experience with stormwater project management brings a valuable addition to our practice,” Laura Casset, LAN regional stormwater manager for Central Texas, said. “He will further strengthen our client services as we expand our Stormwater initiatives in the Central Texas region.”
An Associate Member of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Dr. Zarezadeh also has a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology. He is a Professional Engineer licensed in Texas.
