Ezee Fiber begins underground broadband construction in Vancouver, Wash.
VANCOUVER, Wash. (UI) — Ezee Fiber has started construction on its underground fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network in Vancouver, marking the next phase of the company’s broadband expansion across Southwest Washington.
The project is part of Ezee Fiber’s $400 million investment to expand fiber infrastructure throughout the region and follows the company’s recent service launch in Kent.
“Vancouver marks an important next step in our Washington expansion,” said Eddie Abreu, senior vice president and general manager for the Pacific Northwest region. “With construction beginning in Vancouver, we're rapidly growing our network in Southwest Washington, and delivering on our promise to bring fast, reliable, and frustration-free connectivity to more communities. This investment brings next-generation connectivity to more residents and businesses, helping strengthen Vancouver's digital future.”
Construction will continue through early 2026, with service activations beginning on a neighborhood-by-neighborhood basis. The company said temporary lane closures may occur, but property access will remain open whenever possible. Residents will receive notice at least ten days before any restrictions.
Ezee Fiber’s network will deliver multi-gigabit speeds up to 8 Gbps, supported by 100 percent FTTH infrastructure. The company said its system will support faster data transfer for streaming, gaming, remote work, and smart-home use.
The Houston-based broadband provider is also coordinating with local officials to manage right-of-way access and permitting for the build.
In addition to Vancouver, Ezee Fiber announced that Des Moines and Puyallup in the Seattle metro area have joined its growing service footprint.
