360 Broadband, EPC begin fiber construction in Howe, Texas
(UI) — 360 Broadband has partnered with construction firm EPC to deploy high-speed fiber infrastructure in Howe, Texas, officially launching construction earlier this month with a Feb. 4 groundbreaking ceremony in the Grayson County community.
The project will bring fiber-to-the-premises service to residents and businesses in Howe, a growing rural city north of Dallas. Work is now underway to expand broadband access in areas that have historically lacked reliable high-speed connectivity.
According to the companies, the network will support speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second and is designed to strengthen broadband availability for residential and commercial users.
“At 360 Broadband, we’re proud to bring our fiber network to Howe, Texas,” said Dustin Reid, Vice President of Business Development at 360 Broadband. “Our network will support speeds up to 10 gigabits and is built with a strong focus on elevating the customer experience. This investment ensures that residents and businesses in Howe have the reliable high-speed internet they need to grow, thrive, and stay connected.”
EPC is serving as the design and construction partner for the fiber buildout.
“This project is about delivering infrastructure that communities rely on. A dependable broadband network strengthens local economies, supports families, and gives towns like Howe the tools to grow and compete. EPC is proud to partner with 360 Broadband, whose commitment to investing in the communities they serve aligns with our own, as we build a network designed to serve Howe for the long term,” said Caleb Etheridge, CEO of EPC.
Local officials said the fiber deployment will support economic development, telemedicine, education and business growth.
“The expansion of high-speed broadband in the City of Howe represents a meaningful investment in our people and our future. This project helps bridge the digital divide in our rural community, ensuring everyone has access to education, healthcare services like telemedicine, remote work opportunities, and essential online resources. Fiber internet provides the foundation for a stronger, more connected Howe. This investment reflects our commitment to progress, inclusion, and opportunity for all who call Howe home,” said Mayor Karla McDonald.
“Improving the quality of life for our community requires forward-thinking and attracting the highest quality and most reliable broadband services we can find. In today’s economic development environment, fast and reliable internet connectivity is just as important for business attraction as electric, water, and sewer. Our partnership with 360 Broadband allows us to prepare for growth while strengthening the connections that define Howe and help move the city in the right direction,” said Monte Walker, Howe City Administrator.
The Howe deployment is part of broader efforts to expand rural fiber infrastructure across North Texas.
