Hyundai launches HX210L next-generation crawler excavator

(UI) — HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America has introduced the HX210L crawler excavator, expanding its next-generation excavator lineup with a machine designed to improve productivity, fuel efficiency and operator comfort for contractors and equipment fleets. 

The HX210L is powered by Hyundai's new 186-hp DX05 engine, delivering 6% more torque and 7% greater fuel efficiency than its predecessor while reducing diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) consumption by 30%, according to the company. Built on the same platform as the HX230L, the excavator has an operating weight of 54,900 pounds and features a reinforced upper structure, upgraded swing bearing, increased swing torque and heavy-duty buckets to enhance lifting performance and productivity.

Hyundai also extended key maintenance intervals, including increasing engine oil, engine oil filter and fuel filter replacement intervals from 500 to 1,000 hours when CK-4 engine oil is used. Additional upgrades include a wider heated and cooled operator seat, improved climate control, and optional AI-enabled Smart Around View Monitoring, which uses six cameras to detect people working around the machine. An optional white-noise alarm is also available to improve jobsite safety while reducing noise.

The HX210L comes standard with Hyundai Connect telematics, providing five years of remote fleet management services, including equipment tracking, maintenance notifications and theft prevention. Hyundai said the excavator is designed for contractors, rental companies and fleet operators seeking a durable, cost-effective machine for a range of construction and utility applications.
