Underground Infrastructure Awards 2026 honor MVP, top projects
(UI) — Awards season formerly arrives at the annual Underground Infrastructure Conference (UIC), where honorees will be recognized with the launch of The Awards: MVP + UI Honors program.
This powerful new tradition unites the underground infrastructure community’s most-respected recognition programs: the Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award and Underground Infrastructure (UI) Awards. The event is scheduled for noon, Tuesday, Jan. 27, at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center in San Antonio.

MVP
Jeffey J. Haby, senior vice president of production operations at San Antonio Water System (SAWS), who successfully led the SAWS Consent Decree Program for the past 12 years, will be formally honored as this year’s MVP.
In addition to his widespread praise as a member of the Texas sewer and water industries, Haby was a founder of the South Texas Chapter of the Underground Construction Technology Association and also served as co-president.
