RIDGID

RIDGID, a part of Emerson’s professional tools portfolio, launched the FlexShaft KM-1004 Milling Machine, its first solution engineered specifically to deliver high-speed milling performance, wall-to-wall drain cleaning and all-day runtime for demanding pipe rehabilitation and restoration work.

RIDGID's FlexShaft KM-1004 Milling Machine

Designed for dual drain cleaning and milling applications up to 80 feet, the KM-1004 expands RIDGID’s FlexShaft line with a solution that combines heavy-duty power, digital precision and job-site adaptability for both residential and commercial projects.

“The KM-1004’s advanced features and durable construction enable professionals to handle tough pipe restoration jobs more efficiently and accurately,” said Shelby Gerl, product manager, RIDGID for Emerson. “As our first dual drain cleaning and milling machine for up to 80 feet, it tackles two challenges with one solution and stands out in the industry. This tool continues RIDGID’s legacy of delivering innovative solutions for pros that solve challenges they regularly experience on jobsites.”

COMPLETE, CONTROLLED CLEANING

The KM-1004 is built to handle 1¼- to 4-inch pipes and supports ¼- and 5/16-inch FlexShaft cables, enabling technicians to remove scale, corrosion, grease, roots and other obstructions with ease. A digital cable counter with variable speed control allows users to accurately monitor distance and adjust speed based on pipe condition, each critical for pipe prep and reinstatement work. A built-in temperature sensor also prevents sheath damage during prolonged use.

With both 18V battery and plug-in power capability, the KM-1004 ensures uninterrupted operation during drain cleaning and milling jobs. Its dual-power design allows technicians to work efficiently and adapt to job-site conditions without sacrificing performance. Its brushless motor with I-Clutch technology automatically monitors torque based on cable size, reducing wear and extending tool life. Field serviceable components make onsite maintenance fast, maximizing uptime for busy pros.

Additional features include:

  • Foot pedal operation for two-handed control
  • Under-70-pound design with wheels and a telescoping handle for easy transport
  • RIDGID Link App compatibility for tool locking, shareable job reporting insights, maintenance reminders and tool history

Headquartered in Elyria, Ohio, RIDGID is a part of the Emerson professional tools portfolio that also includes Greenlee and Klauke.
