Brian Nessen Joins Gulf Publishing Company as Group Publisher for Pipelines and Infrastructure Group

Brian Nessen, an experienced business-to-business media and trade show executive, has joined Gulf Publishing Company as Group Publisher. Nessen will manage a group that includes Pipeline & Gas Journal, Underground Construction, Underground Construction Technology conference and exhibition, and the Pipeline Opportunities Conference.
Gulf Publishing Company acquired the publications and conferences managed by Nessen in its acquisition of Oildom Publishing in April 2017.
“We are very pleased to have Brian join our management team,” said John Royall, President and CEO of Gulf Publishing Company. “The pipeline and infrastructure segment gives us a very strong and growing business in the midstream market to complement our upstream and downstream operations. Brian is a pro, and is the right person to build these businesses.”
Nessen has more than 25 years of management, sales and marketing experience in business-to-business media and trade shows in oil and gas, power generation, chemical processing, and automotive markets.
“Gulf Publishing Company offers very high-quality brands that are leaders in their respective fields, and Pipeline & Gas Journal, Underground Construction and their related conferences are a natural fit for the business,” said Nessen. “My goal is to take these excellent information sources for industry professionals and vehicles for marketers, and expand and improve our product offerings.”
Nessen was most recently co-founder of Stone Fort Group, and previously held the position of Vice President/Group Publisher of Access Intelligence’s POWER and Chemical Group. Formerly he worked at Atlantic Communications and PennWell.
He is married with three children and resides in the Houston area.
