Orlando, Fla., begins sewer upgrade on North Orange Avenue
(UI) — The City of Orlando's Public Works Department is launching Phase 1 of a project to replace sanitary sewer lines along North Orange Avenue, between Ivanhoe Boulevard and Alden Road.
This initial phase is part of a larger, five-phase upgrade planned over the next 15 months.
The project aims to replace aging and undersized pipeline infrastructure with a larger, modern sewer system to meet the needs of the growing North Orange Avenue area. Current issues with the pipeline, including settling and a flat profile, have made it difficult for materials to flow smoothly, highlighting the need for the upgrade.
Once complete, the new pipeline will have a larger diameter to handle increased capacity and ensure reliable service along this busy corridor.
