Corpus Christi Gets $51 Million for Water Improvements
2/28/2017
The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) has approved more than 51 million in financial assistance from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to the city of Corpus Christi. The city will use the assistance to refinance water system improvements and could save approximately $8.2 million over the life of the loan.
The funding will be used to refinance a portion of the Mary Rhodes Phase II transmission line, which transports additional water supply to the growing region.
The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
