McElroy inducts Biffle, Lee brothers into 2024 Fusion Hall of Fame
(UI) — McElroy, a leader in thermoplastic fusion equipment manufacturing, has announced the induction of Bob Biffle, Mike Lee, and David Lee into its 2024 Fusion Hall of Fame.
The recognition, established in 2019, honors those who have significantly contributed to the development and acceptance of fusible plastic pipe over the past 50 years.
McElroy President and CEO Chip McElroy praised the inductees, saying, “This year, we’re honored to recognize three individuals whose legacies are truly monumental. Without their tireless efforts, we as a company and we as an industry would not be able to celebrate the successes that we have today.”
Biffle, who joined McElroy in 1976, spent over three decades as a Sales and Technical Service Representative, helping the company become a leader in fusion equipment. Known for his patience and skill, he played a major role in promoting and educating others about high-density polyethylene pipe.
Mike and David Lee, sons of Ed Lee, transformed their family business, Lee Supply, from a coal mining supplier into a major player in the industrial, municipal, and environmental markets. They introduced high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe and helped expand its use in water and gas distribution.
The three were officially inducted during McElroy’s annual INFUSION24 conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
