Carolina Underground Solutions Acquired by Ex-CEO of South Carolina Telecom Contractor
Carolina Underground Solutions, a contractor providing drilling, boring, and trenching services for the installation of underground telecommunications cabling, has been acquired by Braddock Cunningham, former CEO of Network Controls and Electric, a telecommunications contractor in South Carolina.
“The combination of CUS with the proven experience of Cunningham will provide increased resources and improved services for our clients as well as a clear growth vision for the already successful young company,” said Jonathan Carawan, vice-president of Carolina Underground Solutions. “The acquisition is also expected to result in greater efficiencies and significantly increase our market share throughout the region.”
Cunningham, who will serve as the company’s CEO and President, holds a BA from Furman University and a MBA from Clemson University and brings a proven 20 year track record of successfully growing businesses across several industries.
“This acquisition will create more jobs and opportunities for Carolina Underground as we grow across this region and establish a new standard in underground construction,” said Cunningham. “CUS’s clients will continue to receive the same high quality service, which they have come to expect.”
Under the terms of the agreement, Carolina Underground Solutions will continue to service upstate South Carolina as well as regional clients from Alabama to Virginia.
